Pediatric Care for Northshore Patients Through Tulane Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic
Now that Lakeview Regional Medical Center is a campus of Tulane Medical Center, our patients have access to all of the experts and medical technology available from the Tulane Medical Center. Our Northshore patients will still get the personal care they’d expect from us, but with the added benefits of seamless integration with an academic medical center.
This merge also means that our youngest patients are able to receive care from the newly-opened Tulane Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic in Mandeville. The center gives Northshore patients access to physicians who specialize in pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric nephrology, and pediatric pulmonology services.
There are four physicians on staff:
- Samir El Dhar, a board-certified pediatric nephrologist, provides care for children who need a kidney or urinary tract specialist.
- Uwe Blecker, a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist, cares for children with tummy troubles ranging from colic to obesity to irritable bowel syndrome.
- Robert Hopkins and Dr. Michael Kiernan, board-certified pediatric pulmonologists, treat patients with respiratory and lung conditions such as asthma and cystic fibrosis.
Joining Tulane Health System opens new doors for our patients, and allows them access to specialists close to home.
