Stacey O’Connell, a healthcare leader with more than 20 years of proven success in all areas of financial management, planning and business development, has been named chief financial officer of Lakeview Regional Medical Center, a campus of Tulane Medical Center. O’Connell currently serves as the CFO of Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport, Mississippi, a role she will keep in addition to her new responsibilities at Lakeview Regional. Both facilities are members of HCA Healthcare’s MidAmerica division.

“We are very familiar with Stacey’s positive assets and work ethic,” said Hiral Patel, Lakeview Regional CEO. “Working with Regina Ramazani, Tulane Health System’s market chief financial officer, this arrangement will result in a robust, coordinated leadership team that will better align our facilities and strategies across the Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast regions.”

Prior to joining HCA Healthcare two years ago, Stacey served as assistant chief financial officer with Community Health Systems - Merit Health Biloxi. There, she was responsible for the direction, oversight and administration of financial operations for the 198-bed acute-care hospital, a 45-bed offsite behavioral health facility, 14 employed physician clinics, an ambulatory surgery center, a wound care center, a radiation oncology center and offsite imaging centers.

Among other accomplishments during her six-year tenure there, Stacey was involved in the evaluation and acquisition of two ambulatory surgery centers, a two-site imaging center, a radiation oncology practice and numerous physician practices. She also served as interim CFO. Stacey’s healthcare experience also includes time at Accel Healthcare Communications in New York City, where she was vice president of finance and control, and with Tenet Health Systems - Professional Home Health/Gulf Coast Medical Center in Biloxi, where she was director of accounting. Stacey currently serves on the board of the United Way of South Mississippi and on the corporate board of the Boys & Girls Club, where she serves as chair of the finance committee.
