The Board of Trustees of Lakeview Regional Medical Center has announced that Bret Kolman, CPA, FACHE has been hired as the new Chief Executive Officer for the hospital. As CEO he will have executive responsibility for managing the daily operations of the 172-bed acute care hospital and its entities, as well as attaining and maintaining quality care and outcomes; physician, employee and patient satisfaction; volume growth; service; community commitment, and financial health.
“Mr. Kolman brings with him a philosophy that healthy results require work and humility,” states Willie Paretti, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Lakeview Regional. “He believes in a servant-leader model that requires leadership by example, open communication and mutual accountability. I am confident that under his direction we can be assured that Lakeview Regional will continue to provide the best in quality of care and service for all whom we serve in an environment of compassion and respect.” Kolman was most recently CEO at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, MO, (also an HCA facility) where under his leadership the facility received numerous accolades and achievements, including Joint Commission Top Performer in 2011 and 2012, No. 1 in HCA in patient satisfaction, and No. 4 in HCA for medical staff satisfaction.
Kolman began his medical administrative career at Health Midwest in Lexington, MO in 1992. Just prior to joining Lakeview Regional, he served for nine years as Chief Executive Officer at Lafayette Regional. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Kolman is a founding board member of several health organizations in Missouri including: Healthcare Collaborative of Rural Missouri, Missouri Hospital Association Critical Access Council, and Community Health Foundation. He also serves on numerous non-profit leadership councils. Kolman holds a Master Degree in Health Administration from University of Minnesota. He also earned Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance from Kansas State University.
