Lakeview Regional Medical Center welcomes Johnnie Bankston as the Director of Case Management. Bankston is a registered nurse with experience in hospital case management, the insurance industry, and clinical documentation. In this position, Bankston will oversee case managers responsible for patient care coordination, develop and implement case management programs, including utilization review, intake or discharge planning, evaluate patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards, and seek treatments that balance clinical and financial concerns with the family's needs and the patient's quality of life. In addition to her role as Director of Case Management, Bankston will also serve as the Facility Privacy Officer for Lakeview Regional Medical Center.
“We are excited to have Johnnie back as part of the Lakeview Regional team,” states Bret Kolman, Lakeview Regional Chief Executive Officer. “Her main focus will be on first class patient care, but the work she will do to secure the privacy of our patients is paramount. She is a huge asset to our team.” Bankston worked in the Lakeview Regional Case Management department from 2006 – 2011 and rejoined Lakeview Regional in March of this year in the CDI department. She graduated from Charity School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and is also a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS).
